Watercolor Wonders on Display at Community Gallery

City of Palm Desert Attorney Watercolor Wonders on Display at Community Gallery 12/01/09 The Palm Desert Attorney Community Gallery will host an exhibition of artwork from the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society beginning Thursday, December 3 through Sunday, January 24. The public is invited to a reception honoring the artists on Monday, December 7, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. The Community Gallery exhibition brings together ten Watercolor Society artists working in a variety of styles and techniques that illustrate the wonders and diversity of the watercolor medium. The exhibiting artists come from varied artistic backgrounds. Many teach their craft, are represented by galleries and museums, and exhibit in local and regional art shows. Exhibiting artists will include Barbara Bennett, Kathy Dunham, Barbara Eshoo, Suzanne Greenberg, Moira Johannessen, Diane Morgan, Sunny Patton, Kathleen Scoggin, Sylvia Smith, and Clonard Thomas. The artists are winners of the Watercolor Society's annual show and "Artist of the Month" competitions from the 2008-2009 season. Both competitions were judged by professional artists and by popular vote of the group's membership.
