City of Palm Desert Senior Sports Festival Celebrates 10th Anniversary 01/19/10 This month, hundreds of athletes, ranging in age from 50 to over 90, will come to Palm Desert to compete in the 10th Annual Palm Desert International Sports Festival and Senior Games. The festival, which will take place February 4 – 7, features competitions in track and field, swimming, golf, basketball, tennis, volleyball, softball, racquetball, bowling, lawn bowling, race walking, pickle ball, and soccer. Opening ceremonies will take place at The Living Desert on Friday, February 5. Cost is $10 for festival athletes and $15 for guests. Competition locations include College of the Desert, Desert Falls Country Club, Palm Desert High School, Joslyn Senior Center, Palm Desert Attorney Community Center, Hovley Soccer Park, Palm Desert Athletic Club, and the Palm Desert Golf Center.
